ETYMOLOGY
This species of Haworthia is named for Emily Ferguson, a 20th-century South African plant collector.
PROFILE
Growing to a maximum height of about 40cm (16in), this succulent is characterized by bulbous, âjuicy-lookingâ succulent leaves arranged in a rosette shape that reaches up to 10cm (4in) across. The leaves, which are decorated with vein line striations, turn a very attractive sunset pink when exposed to the sun. A stem grows from the middle of the plant in early spring, bearing tubular white flowers.
